FEARFUL & FEARLESS

Are you being fearful to the extent that you are afraid when you are about doing certain things which are sinful and then you actually get to avoid them, all because of the fear you have for the Lord? 

OR 

are you fearless to the extent that you are bold and brave of doing certain things which are sinful and you are not bothered about them, all because you do not have reverence for the Lord? 

Before i make a mistake of confusing you, 

Fearful is being afraid or filled with fear and

Fearless is being bold and brave,

Now we as Christians, to what extent do we have to be fearful (afraid) or fearless (brave)?

Fearful or fearless is all good, but to what situations are you filled with fear and to what extent are you bold enough? We ought to be fearless and be fearful to sin which simply means that we must be bold  enough to be afraid of committing sin, brave enough to say no to sinful desires. 

Hence we have to be fearful (afraid) to God to the extent that we become fearless (bold or brave) to avoid sin. Once we become afraid of God, He then helps us to be bold enough to avoid sin. And so the question is;

Where do you stand?

The fact about this is that, God wants us to be fearful of Him and at the same time be fearless to sin. Meaning that he granted us the ability to be afraid of him to a point where we will be able to be bold and brave to avoid sin. May the Good Lord help and bless our efforts in being fearful to Him and fearless to avoid sin.
