In Mind

The book of 2 Samuel, chapter 9 entails the story of David and Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan. Out of the blue, David asked for anyone left of Saul's family that he would show him kindness for Jonathan's sake. In all haste, King David found out and asked for the whereabout of Mephibosheth, the crippled son of Jonathan and showed him kindness just as he had promised God.

Beloved, this story depicts that God still has you and I in mind. In the sense that, nothing sought to have hindered David in the kindness he ought to do for Jonathan's family because God had Mephibosheth in mind. Even though Mephibosheth was crippled and had gone through certain troubles on his own, he still found his way into the King's palace, what a wonderful testimony he had to share! and this is what the Lord does. No matter where you are, even if you are in the worse situation and you have been waiting and waiting all on God and still nothing seems to be happening, my brothers and sisters, I just want you to be encouraged and understand that God has you on his list. And miraculously God will put you as a burden on his servant to show you goodness just as He put Mephibosheth on David. Remember that it is written in Hebrews 13:5b; The Lord said never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.

And one more thing, Mephibosheth was crippled but then he still lived his life in a genuine manner in the sight of God and that is the main reason why God didn't forget him. Brethren, this should motivate us to continue to lead a righteous life. Imagine if Mephibosheth had messed up his life, God wouldn't have had him in mind, yet alone make him a burden upon David to show him loyalty. May my friend Jesus, help us to live a life worthy of His name so that we will always be on His mind for more miracles and breakthroughs.
